Join us in an effort to destigmatize heroin & opioid addiction, and to learn to care for those around us who are struggling with it. This begins by getting stereotypes and fears out of the way, so that we can develop an honest understanding what opioid & heroin addiction actually looks like.
Every year, we lose thousands of lives to drug overdose across the globe, and hundreds right here in Buncombe County. International Overdose Awareness day is an annual event aimed at honoring those lost, as well as a call to action. Join your local Asheville community on August 31st as we recognize the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic and learn about services that are available to help put an end to this crisis.
Join us on Saturday May 6th, 2017 at 4pm for our first public fundraising event: come dance, donate, and connect! We’ll be hanging out at at the Lost Society in Washington D.C. and live-launching a fundraising campaign to reconnect those who have lost themselves or others to opioid & heroin addiction.
