Human Connection Laboratory

We are always experimenting with new ways to facilitate experiences of meaningful human connection, both one-on-one and in groups.

Currently active experiments below.

Listening Training

Offered as free public health education, Listening Training uses a unique interactive format to teach participants a new way of relating with each other in a world where authentic relationships are often scarce.

First Conversations

Want to get started with SeekHealing, but don't know how to begin? Connect with us to schedule a one-on-one First Conversation with a community member.

Connection Practice & Incubators

A different type of recovery meeting that’s non-abstinence based. CP meetings are a place to practice non-judgmental listening and connecting with others.

Listening Line

The Listening Line provides non-crisis emotional support between community members. Call or text any time to connect with another Seeker.

Connection Missions

Connection Missions match people up to give and receive random acts of kindness from each other. You don’t have to be “addicts” or “sick” to receive support, and don’t have to be professionally certified in order to give back safely and benefit from the experience of community and supporting someone else in need.

Community Aftercare Program

The Community Aftercare Program is a six month program that provides holistic healing services like bodywork, counseling, EMDR therapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional counseling and more on a sliding scale basis to people recovering from a recent crisis.

Harm Reduction

Harm reduction is for everyone - whether you use intravenous drugs or your drug of choice is sugar, or social media. Learn more about our Overdose Spike Alerts, Overdose and Addiction 101, and Personal Harm Reduction.

Herbal First Aid

Providing herbal support for stress, anxiety, depression, opioid detox and amphetamine detox to local shelters, MAT clinics, syringe access programs, and underserved neighborhoods and transitional housing projects.

Connection Boosters

Free access to activities, workshops, classes, and new experiences of connection.

Socials & Parties

Safe social gatherings that are both substance-free and small-talk-free.

In recovery from opioids
“I would use drugs and alcohol to cope with depression and the general feeling of loneliness. I had heard the concept of connection and recovery before, but I never was able to connect the two. Through SeekHealing, I have been able to become more connected with myself and other people.”
Travis P.
Former heroin user
"Before SeekHealing, I lived my life in the shadows. Now, I live my life in the light."
