As the seasons begin to shift, SeekHealing is moving through a season of transition, too.
Dear SeekHealing Community,
As the seasons begin to shift, SeekHealing is moving through a season of transition, too. Like the natural world, we’re learning to adapt, tend to what matters most, and make space for what comes next. Through these changes, our commitment to connection, healing, and our community remains steady.
Last week, we celebrated the facilitators who continue to hold space for connection, healing, and belonging. This week, we’re turning our attention to the staff team working behind the scenes to sustain that work.
We’re a small team carrying a lot of care, responsibility, and hope for SeekHealing’s future. Each person plays an important role in keeping our programs moving and our community connected. We’d love to introduce you to the people behind the work and share a little about what each person does.
Ali — Internal Operations & Facilitator Support
Ali holds the internal relationships and Mothership responsibilities that help keep our day-to-day work connected. They support scheduling, community communications, facilitator changes and support, and other internal coordination. Ali is also part of the redesign team, supporting curriculum development, safety protocols, and values.
Caitie — Grants, Fundraising & Partnerships
Caitie is leading our grant work alongside our grant team, supporting fundraising strategy and donor communication, maintaining relationships with community funders, and helping plan our end-of-year fundraising event. Caitie is also part of our redesign team, helping develop our values, safety protocols, and other organizational systems.
Joey — Events
Joey is SeekHealing’s Event Coordinator, bringing our gatherings and shared visions to life through thoughtful planning and coordination. He helps create opportunities for our community to come together, connect, and build meaningful relationships.
Lovey — Waynesville Lead
Lovey manages our Waynesville space, supports First Conversations, coordinates Connection Practices, connects new Seekers with resources, and helps maintain our partnerships and responsibilities with grantors.
Manveer — Marketing & Communications
Manveer helps share the SeekHealing story and keep our community connected through newsletters, marketing, and communications. He supports outreach and marketing for SHFT, helps grow our small-donor community, works on making our website more accessible and user-friendly, and creates materials that share our work and support all of our events.
Melisa — Business Operations & Interim Executive Director
Melisa is responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, and internal relationships. She provides support with the Catalyst, SHFT, technology, marketing and fundraising. She also works closely with the Board of Directors to support organizational leadership and sustainability.
Reid — SHFT & Training
Reid supports the Social Health Facilitation Training (SHFT) enrollment and serves as our Training Director. They’re supporting previous SHFT graduates as they complete their post-training requirements and helping set them up for success. Reid also leads our redesign team, which is working on our organizational values and the evolution of our curriculum.
We’re grateful for the care and commitment (and laughter) this team brings to SeekHealing every day. Even amid uncertainty and change, there is meaningful work happening to support our facilitators, sustain our programs, and nurture the relationships at the heart of this community.
This year, SeekHealing set a goal to raise $120,000 by December 31 to carry our mission into 2027 with strength and stability.
The philanthropic landscape has changed. More people are hurting, and more organizations are stepping up to help, which means grants and gifts are more competitive than ever. Like many small nonprofits, we’re adapting. We’re strengthening our grant strategy with the help of experienced grant professionals, and we’re turning to the community that knows our work best: you.
We know $120,000 is an ambitious goal for an organization our size, and we can’t reach it alone. We also believe community care takes many forms, and each of us has something different to offer.
If you’re able, we warmly invite you to support SeekHealing with a one-time or monthly gift. Every contribution supports our programs and our facilitators, and it keeps open the spaces where people find connection, belonging, and healing.
To everyone who has already given: thank you. Your generosity is carrying this work forward, and we’re grateful for every gift, whatever its size.
If giving isn’t possible right now, there are other meaningful ways to help:
Every act of support strengthens the roots of this community.
You can also join us at an upcoming Connection Practice and bring someone along to experience the work firsthand.
Seasons like this one remind us that growth isn’t only about expanding. It’s also about deepening our roots, strengthening our relationships, and staying true to the values that guide us.
Our commitment to you remains: we will keep listening, learning, and showing up for this work and for the community that makes it possible.
Thank you for being part of SeekHealing, for the care you bring, and for believing in what we’re building together.
With gratitude and hope,
The SeekHealing Team
